Remember when they ask you a question - STAR -
S/T - Situation/Task
A - Action
R - Result
I.e. - Tell me about a time when you took initiative...your response would be -
S/T - I saw that X needed done
A - I did X
R - The result was that it increased profitability by 50%.

If you keep STAR in mind, it will help you keep organized while your nerves drive you crazy.

You're a great gal with wonderful ethics...You are not selfish. Self preserving is not selfish.

AngiAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14796469.post-33832859891806646032007-09-11T15:54:00.000-05:002007-09-11T15:54:00.000-05:00I know the mind trap that you describe. It's like ...I know the mind trap that you describe. It's like a recording over and over in your head. Just know that you have the power to stop the recording or change it. In other words, try and manage your thoughts so they don't become all consuming. It's easier said than done, but it works, and you won't feel drained anymore.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14796469.post-18042303382699202722007-09-11T11:10:00.000-05:002007-09-11T11:10:00.000-05:00I say follow your heart, much more easily said tha...I say follow your heart, much more easily said than done. If you can afford it seems like it would be better to just take the time off, find out where you and your degree, and your dedication will make the most of a difference...

I like whole foods and a friend of mine who works there likes it too but I can see that you could get easily lost in the mass of employees that always seem to be on duty.

I'm sending you warm wishes!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08021634487461293299noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14796469.post-56653594650221337022007-09-11T09:09:00.000-05:002007-09-11T09:09:00.000-05:00Okay:You are interviewing them more than them inte...Okay:
You are interviewing them more than them interviewing you. They have already committed to absorbing the employees. So talk, listen and follow your gut. You should be selfish. In retail, your talents will be cherished. You will be noticed. Maybe not instantly, maybe not by everyone at once but you will be noticed. And people who respect you will also move over there and your reputation will move with you, in the best way.

Now as far as obsessing:PERFECTLY NORMAL. But like my mom always told me, "90% of what you worry about never turns out to be a problem." In a big change(like yours)the group stress amplifies stuff.I recommend Deep Breathing. The self absorbed customers seeking answers has to be really annoying. ( Ummm, this is your grocery store but it is my livelihood..could ya be more sensitive, already?)

Clarity is what you are seeking. I
expect it will come, and not a moment too soon, I'm sure.

Good Luck and thanks for your nice comment on my blog! You can call me Betty, or Bethany, or Beth ...Just don't call me late for dinner.https://www.blogger.com/profile/04105440452868506777noreply@blogger.com
